Even though the high school kids do get a little TV time, we all know that it is mainly about the college kids showing off their stuff. It wasn’t all over for the guys who got cut before the Final Four. Some major ballers who can drain a three or throw it down at the rim got a chance to strut their stuff at the State Farm Contest on Thursday night.
Although fashion statements weren’t what everyone was watching, Baylor Senior Brady Heslip got to wear the exiled jersey that said “Sic ‘Em Bears” for the event, due to major NCAA regulations not really being a matter of concern at this point.
Heslip ended up taking home the trophy by hitting his go to shot, the three.
Although the outfits weren’t necessarily swaged out, that doesn’t mean that the players weren’t.
A look at two of the contestants mid dunk as they show off their swag with different dunk styles. Baylor’s Cory Jefferson (left) did sport some bright blue sneaks, where as Bradley’s (right) rocked the black out look with black socks and shoes for his throw down.
But in the end it was Marcus Lewis from Eastern Kentucky who took the big prize of the night, the dunk contest winner. He surpassed Michigan State’s Adreian Payne by just a fraction of some points to take home the belt.
We will have to wait a couple days though to see who takes home the real prize of all this Madness, the NCAA Championship trophy.
